We welcomed more than 20 “Golden Bison” back to campus for a reception last Friday night in their honor. The Golden Bison graduated from Nichols College 50 or more years ago. The class of 1962 was the first group to graduate from the College with a four-year degree. All prior classes attended Nichols when it was a two-year school. Yet all of those individuals, even those who went on to complete four-year degrees elsewhere, speak fondly about their time and value their experiences at Nichols.
Dave Graham ’50 presented me with a notebook containing Bison stamps, coins, and a $10 Bison bill, which now sits proudly on my bookcase. Some traveled from as far away as Florida and Arizona to reconnect with their classmates. I love this group of dedicated alumni!!
