On March 1, 2015, I had the pleasure of meeting with more than 50 women who came to campus for the first-ever March Forward Event, a bicentennial event sponsored by the Institute for Women’s Leadership, celebrating 40 years of women at Nichols . The alumni on the panel discussion provided valuable insights into their career paths, how they approached work/life balance, and the advice they would give to someone starting out. Of course, many attendees came with the hope of connecting with some of their classmates, and they were not disappointed. Many alumnae remarked about the beauty of the campus (even with six-foot high snow piles!), how it has grown since their time here, and some of the exciting current initiatives, including IWL and the integration of leadership into our curricula. The success of this outstanding event could not have been possible without the hard work of the planning committee. Thank you to this tremendous group of women for all of their hard work!
On February 11, it was my pleasure to join more than 50 alumni and guests in Naples, Florida for the Naples Bicentennial Celebration. This reception was unique because it had the highest number of attendees since I’ve been at the College. I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet alumni whose graduation dates spanned six decades, legacy families of three generations, and parents of prospective students.
